Lead the Way in IT Support at Benson Radiology

Benson Radiology is one of South Australia’s most respected medical imaging providers, delivering high-quality diagnostic services and exceptional patient care for more than 60 years.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Service Desk Team Leader to lead our service desk team, strengthen technical capability and drive responsive, reliable IT support across our clinic network.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise, people leadership and continuous improvement supporting the systems our teams rely on to deliver exceptional patient care every day.

About the role
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will oversee daily service desk operations and lead a team of three Service Desk Officers. This hands-on role combines Level 2 technical support, team coaching and continuous improvement to deliver responsive, reliable support across Benson Radiology. You will work closely with our Infrastructure and Clinical Applications teams, support staff across our clinics and occasionally travel between sites to troubleshoot issues and replace equipment.

Key responsibilities
· Coordinate daily support activities, monitor ticket queues and help resolve complex 

  Level 2 incidents and high-priority requests.

· Coach and support Service Desk Officers, assist with onboarding and develop clear

  technical documentation to build team capability.

· Review ticket quality and customer feedback to improve technical support and

  communication.

· Identify recurring issues, investigate root causes and automate repetitive tasks to

  reduce ticket volumes.

· Assist with diagnosing outages, coordinate with specialist IT teams and communicate

  clear updates to the business.

· Build effective relationships with radiologists, clinic teams and other stakeholders while

  promoting secure, responsible use of IT systems.

About you
You are a service-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems and helping others develop their skills. You bring strong technical judgement, clear communication and a collaborative approach, along with:

· Experience in a Service Desk role, with strong troubleshooting and telephone-based

  customer service skills.

· Strong training skills and enthusiasm for coaching and developing others.

· Experience administering Active Directory, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 and hybrid

  environments.

· Experience with standard operating environment (SOE) deployment, print

  management and printer troubleshooting.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Teams calling, Poly phones and Yealink teleconferencing

  devices.

· A strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and experience with multifactor

  authentication, endpoint protection, access management and security incident

  escalation.

· Experience using ITIL-compliant service management tools, following change

  management controls and troubleshooting networking issues.

· A tertiary qualification or certification in Information Technology, and/or suitable

  experience.

Experience with Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager, cybersecurity certification, and experience in healthcare, radiology or medical imaging will be highly regarded.

You will also need a current driver’s licence for travel between sites, eligibility to work in Australia, and a current National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for 2 full-time roles (1 permanent and one 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility to extend/move to permanent).

This role offers variety, with shifts across our Hospital and Private clinic typically scheduled Monday to Friday between 7:30AM and 5:30PM, with late shifts (11:00AM to 7:30PM) also scheduled throughout the week, which are shared amongst the team. The Medical Reception team also provide coverage at our Millicent clinic and at times Naracoorte, therefore a current drivers licence and reliable car are highly recommended for this role. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys being part of a supportive, professional team. Rosters will be completed 4 weeks in advance.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage patient bookings via phone (inbound & outbound)
• Deliver outstanding patient care & service
• Support referrers and medical professionals with queries
• Handle admin, results, billing & reception tasks
• Work flexibly across call centre and reception shifts

Join our dynamic southern and central region Nurse Team, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and support for diagnostic and interventional radiology services.

Say goodbye to shift work and hello to variety. This role includes working across our Morphett Vale, Noarlunga Hospital, Ashford and Western clinics. Some travel maybe required to our North Adelaide and Modbury clinics depending on your location. We have multiple opportunities including permanent and Fixed Term 12-month contract, ideally full time or 0.8FTE.

Nursing shifts are generally 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday with additional Saturday morning shifts available. 

About the role

The role of the Radiology Nurse is dynamic and evolving as the emphasis on minimally invasive procedures increases. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team providing a wide variety of diagnostic and interventional services to a diverse patient clientele. Activities within this role include;

• Assisting Radiologists, radiographers and other members of the Imaging team with preparing patient pre and post interventional procedures
• Responsible for maintaining emergency trolleys, drugs, oxygen and all other general nursing duties
• Coordinating Breast and other clinics at specific locations
• Coordinating patient bookings for more complex procedures

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary team. You will possess:

• Previous experience in radiology is desirable but not essential. Similar skills across theatre, recovery, emergency and other procedure based or high acuity settings will be well regarded.
• Proven ability in cannulation
• Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work across a multidisciplinary team
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the clinic.
• Valid CPR certification
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members and other stakeholders
• You must be available to work across a variety of clinics. Additionally, you must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police clearance.

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for the clinical, operational, and professional leadership of our ultrasound modality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the Ultrasound modality across Benson Radiology, driving high-quality, efficient and patient-centred services.
• Support, coach and develop sonography teams to build capability, performance and engagement.
• Plan workforce, resources, workflows and equipment use to meet operational and service needs.
• Contribute to service improvements, compliance, growth initiatives and better outcomes for patients, referrers and the business.
• Engage with industry bodies and leading technology providers to ensure Benson Radiology remains at the forefront of all things ultrasound practice and innovation.

We are looking for an experienced, values-driven leader who combines strong clinical knowledge with confident people leadership and sound operational judgement.

• Accredited Medical Sonographer with current ASAR registration.
• Proven leadership experience in sonography, medical imaging or a comparable healthcare environment.
• A professional, approachable and solutions-focused leadership style.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with teams, Radiologists, referrers and external partners.
• A commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement and developing future sonography capability.
