Join our dynamic central region CT Team as a Full-Time CT Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and undertaking cannulations. You'll be required to work across our Ashford, Edwardstown and Glenelg

About the role

As a CT Assistant, you will report to the CT Team Leader and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

Duties Include, but not limited to: 

• Performing cannulations and providing patient care while adhering to Benson Radiology's Policies, Procedures, and Protocols
• Analysing request forms and assist staff to ensure the appropriate examination is performed to obtain optimal information
• Consulting with colleagues and Radiologists as needed
• Supporting CT Radiographers, nursing, and clinical staff by preparing patients for imaging examinations, including manual handling and positioning
• Assessing bookings and workflows proactively to maximise efficiency, while remaining flexible to accommodate urgent cases and walk-in patients
• Contributing to a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding, patient-centred care

About You: 

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a welcoming, multi-disciplinary team. You will possess:

• Proven ability in cannulation or relevant experience in venepuncture
• Experience managing scheduled appointments and ensuring seamless workflow
• Strong verbal communication skills 
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Familiarity with radiology imaging systems (e.g., COMRAD, PACS) is a plus, but not essential
• Valid CPR certification or a willingness to obtain it
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, team members and other stakeholders
• You must be Flexible, resilient, and adaptive to change 

You will require a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.  Additionally, you must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police clearance.
