About the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of Benson employees, whilst maintaining compliance with employment agreements, relevant tax laws and associated regulations. The position also encompasses a variety of administrative, query management, and data management activities. Your key responsibilities include: - End-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls within strict deadlines.
- Ensure employees are correctly classified under the appropriate EA or Award.
- Maintain accurate payroll, leave and termination records.
- Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers.
- Produce payroll reports to meet internal and statutory requirements.
- Assist with month-end payroll processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including reducing manual and paper-based processes.
- Provide backup support to the Payroll Manager to ensure continuity of payroll delivery
About You: To be successful in this role, you will bring: - 3-5+ years' experience in a permanent, high-volume payroll role.
- Sound knowledge of Time and Attendance systems.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence working in fast-paced, on-site environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Chris21 and Optima (highly regarded), or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to suggest improvements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
